When you think of wedding sets, you probably think of diamond wedding sets that cost thousands of dollars for which you’ll be paying on for years. Thankfully there are cubic zirconia wedding sets that look so realistic no one will be able to tell that they are not diamonds. Cubic zirconia rings these days are made so well, and the stone so well synthesized that they look exactly like diamonds and it really is impossible to tell them apart without a gemologist’s help.
Since diamond wedding sets cost thousands of dollars, you’d assume that cubic zirconia would cost maybe half that amount and you’d still be laying quite a lot of money. Well you would be wrong. I found some cubic zirconia wedding sets on Amazon that were under $100! I’ll admit, I was stunned. I thought it would cost at least several hundred dollars, but for under $100? That is amazing. And they aren’t cheap looking or ugly either. These wedding sets are actually beautiful and look just like sets you’d find in a good jewelry store.
Pretty much any cubic zirconia wedding set you’d want, you’d be able to find. There are emerald cut, princess cut, round cut, brilliant cut and they are in silver, platinum, white gold and gold. They even have victorian, edwardian and antique looking wedding sets as well.
I’m still really surprised that there are even wedding sets made with cubic zirconia and that they are so beautiful. I actually thought they’d be cheap or really gauche. I’m glad I was wrong. I’d much rather have a cubic zirconia ring and wedding set and use the saved money for a honeymoon or down payment on a house. Diamonds are pretty, but the price is so ridiculous. I’d much rather have a look alike that will fool everyone and use the saved money.
Some of the more expensive cubic zirconia wedding sets have real diamonds in them as well. This set is not cubic zirconia completely, but diamalite with a diamond halo. It has an expensive ring setting which is 18k gold. So you can get cubic zirconia wedding sets with expensive metal settings. It has 1/2 carat princess cut Diamalite center stone surrounded by a halo of 44 G-H color SI1-SI2 clarity natural diamond accents. A 10mm diameter halo surrounds the center stone. It seems odd to mix natural diamonds with synthetic diamonds, but you save money having the big stone be the synthetic and the smallers ones be real diamonds.
Diamalite® hybrid diamond simulants closely mimic the light play, adamantine luster and beauty of natural diamond. It is actually a cubic zirconia coated with diamond paste to give the cubic zirconia and even more realistic look. This will also fool most diamond tests.
